Nhar it-Tnejn, 29 ta’ Settembru fis-6pm, se niltaqgħu quddiem l-Awtorità tal-Ippjanar sabiex nispjegaw ir-raġunijiet għaliex qed insejħu għal protesta nazzjonali nhar is-Sibt 4 ta’ Ottubru, u t-talbiet urġenti tagħna quddiem sitwazzjoni gravi ħafna.
F’Lulju li għadda, il-Gvern ippreżenta żewġ liġijiet li se jneħħu s-salvagwardji kollha li għandna fil-qasam tal-ippjanar. Wara ftit ġimgħat, ġiet ukoll ippubblikata l-proposta ta’ tliet avviżi legali li se jagħtu amnestija lil kull tip ta’ illegalità madwar Malta u Għawdex, mingħajr lanqas biss limitu fuq daqs, skop jew post.
Minkejja li l-poplu rnexxielu jwaqqaf lill-Gvern milli jgħaddi dawn il-liġijiet inkiss inkiss f’nofs is-sajf, dawn għadhom hemm, u nafu li l-Gvern se jipprova jsib l-ewwel opportunità biex jgħaddihom.
Għalhekk, qed inħeġġukom tattendu għall-Konferenza Stampa ta’ nhar it-Tnejn fejn se nuru kemm it-theddida għalina, għal pajjiżna, u għal uliedna hija kbira u teħtieġ ir-reżistenza kollettiva tal-poplu biex flimkien inwaqqfu dan il-kolp ta’ stat mill-iżviluppaturi.

On Monday, 29th September at 6pm, we will gather in front of the Planning Authority to explain the reasons why we are calling the national protest on Saturday, 4th October, and to present our urgent demands in the face of a very serious situation.
Last July, the Government presented two laws that would remove all safeguards in the planning sector. A few weeks later, a proposal for three legal notices was also published, which would grant amnesty to all forms of illegalities across Malta and Gozo, without any limits on size, type, or location.
Although the people managed to stop the Government from passing these laws by stealth in the middle of summer, they are still on the table, and we know that the Government will try to seize the first opportunity to pass them.
This is why we are urging you to attend Monday’s press conference, where we will show just how great the threat is – to us, to our country, and to our children – and how it demands the collective resistance of the people to stop this developers’ coup from being carried out.
