Join us for the screening of ‘El Pepe: A Supreme Life’, an evening dedicated to José Mujica following his recent passing.
El Pepe: A Supreme Life is a 2018 Uruguayan-Serbian documentary by Emir Kusturica that narrates the life and teachings of José Mujica, who was a member of the Uruguayan guerrilla group Tupamaros and later served as President of Uruguay from 2010 to 2015.
Mujica became internationally known for his humble lifestyle and progressive reforms, including the legalization of same-sex marriage, loosening restrictions on cannabis, and environmental protection initiatives.
The screening will be followed by a discussion on the legacy of Pepe Mujica.
