DESCRIPTION:Ingħaqdu magħna għall-Konferenza Stampa nhar it-Tlieta\, 30 ta’ Ġunju\, quddiem il-Parlament\, fejn se nkunu qed inniedu dokument bi proposti għal riformi sabiex tfal li twieldu Malta u huma mingħajr stat ma jibqgħux f’din is-sitwazzjoni. \nMalta għadha m’għandhiex proċeduri effettivi biżżejjed biex tagħraf meta persuna hija mingħajr stat\, jew biex tiżgura li dawn it-tfal ikunu jistgħu jiksbu ċittadinanza. Minħabba f’hekk\, hemm numru ta’ tfal li qed jiffaċċjaw diversi ostakli biex jgħixu b’mod dinjituż u stabbli fis-soċjetà tagħna. \nAħna qed nipproponu lista ta’ riformi realistiċi li jistgħu jiġu implimentati fil-proċeduri ta’ Malta sabiex titnaqqas il-burokrazija u b’hekk dawn it-tfal ikun jista’ jkollhom futur stabbli f’pajjiż li jagħmlu parti minnu. \nNixtiqukom tingħaqdu magħna għat-tnedija ta’ dan id-dokument bħala turija ta’ solidarjetà! \n****** \nJoin us for a press conference on Tuesday 30th June in front of Parliament\, where we will be publishing a reform document on statelessness. \nMalta has not established effective procedures to identify stateless persons or mechanisms to resolve their statelessness. As a result\, children in Malta are growing up without a nationality\, in conditions of legal uncertainty and without a realistic pathway to full inclusion in the only society they have ever known. \nThrough this document\, we are proposing a set of targeted\, implementable policy reforms that would align Malta’s legal framework with international standards and contribute to the prevention and reduction of child statelessness. \nWe hope to see you there in solidarity!

SUMMARY:Manoel Island: Żommu Kelmtkom - PROTESTA
DESCRIPTION:Sharlon Pace took over public land on Manoel Island for his padel business\, building on top of important archaeological remains. \nLast Thursday\, the Planning Authority granted him a permit\, effectively sanctioning this illegal development. \nOn Friday 24 July\, we will gather at the entrance to Manoel Island\, in front of the padel courts\, to protest against this obscenity. \nWe’ll start gathering at 6pm\, and the protest will begin at 6.30pm with a walk through Manoel Island. \nThe Prime Minister’s promise was clear: Manoel Island would be returned to the people. Sharlon Pace is not “the people.” \nWe demand that the Prime Minister honour his promise and ensure that any plans for Manoel Island are developed through a holistic approach that safeguards the common good. \nWe have always insisted that Gżira United FC should be given a football ground\, as has been promised for decades. However\, the land now occupied by the padel courts forms part of the site that we\, as the public\, paid €43 million to bring back into public ownership. \nSee you on Friday. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a chill night of crafting and community\, learn about pin making and make your own pins. This is a safe space for trans\, non-binary people and our allies. \nFriday\, 31st July6:30 PM67\, Strait Street\, VLT \nWe’ll start with a presentation by Nestor on history of pins and a demonstration. After that\, we will put on some music and we’ll have a bunch of materials out: magazines\, markers\, glue\, scissors\, craft knives\, papers\, and more\, so you can make your pins. Feel free to bring any extra materials you like (stickers\, markers\, etc.) \nThere will be snacks and drinks provided at the event but feel free to bring your own. The event is free of charge but donations are appreciated. \nAccessibility is restricted for people with mobility issues – however\, get in touch with us\, and we will help you up the stairs.
